Ein neues Jahrhundertprojekt?

Abstract

Many members of the European Community are governed by social democratic parties. One of their common aim is to keep global capitalism in check. But they lack the tools to accomplish this task. Therefore they need a new political paradigm, like it seems to appear in the concepts of global governance. This article gives a review of these concepts from the Group of Lisbon, the Commission on Global Governance an the Institute for Development and Peace (IDP) and argues that the proposals are not an adequate answer to the complex process of global capitalism.
