In 1971 the magazine "Probleme des Klassenkampfs" was launched, but as early as 1976 the emphasis associated with the title appeared anachronistic: since then it has been called "PROKLA". The anniversary issue 200 is an occasion to ask about the presence and urgency of class struggles: in recent years class theories have gained in topicality again, but far less the class struggles and hardly any questions about their problems. These problems are not only evident in history, for example, a comparison between Russia and Germany around 1918. The authors also discuss the class dimension of the various movements and struggles of recent years, such as those against climate change. These struggles are taking place globally, in countries like Chile for many years. The example of Corona also shows that pandemics are a time for the executive - and for experts, whose knowledge and opinions are suddenly in demand. But isn't science also a power field, structured by social conflicts?
