Reproductive work is essential. Throughout history, the relationship between wage labor and reproductive labor and thus the relationship between the public and the private has always been contested - and they are today more than ever. Especially since more and more reproductive work is itself organized as wage labor. In the last few years, the disputes on the question of reproduction and care work have intensified, driven mainly by feminist initiatives. At the same time in Germany, but also in other countries, there is a dispute about the abortion law. Against this background, the question arises to what extent these struggles are interrelated and what perspectives there are for feminist struggles in the coming years. In Germany, as in many other countries, the AfD has established a right-wing party that courtesies traditional role models and clearly represents antifeminist positions. PROKLA analyses the struggles for reproduction and related gender relations against the background of the political, economic and social developments of recent years and decades.
