The auto industry faces radical changes. The patterns of production and organisation of mobility have reached an impasse in capitalist societies today. PROKLA 193 explores the crisis and transformation of the auto industry in its economic, social, political and cultural dimensions and their interrelations with the overarching (ecological) crises of capitalist societies. Additionally, PROKLA 193 focuses on the economic crisis in Turkey, the scarcity of affordable housing in the finance dominated regime of accumulation and the current revival of class politics.
