PROKLA Association

PROKLA exists since 1971 and provides politically engaged social and economic analyses. It is impossible to finance PROKLA by sales proceeds alone, and we do not like to become dependent on parties or big publishing houses. Therefore, PROKLA is being published and supported by an association, the “Association for Critique of Political Economy” (Vereinigung zur Kritik der politischen Ökonomie e.V.). The association also elects the editorial board and discusses possible subjects for the upcoming PROKLA issues at its annual general assembly.

Critical social science cannot be left to the market. Without solidary structure and financial support, journals like PROKLA are hardly possible. The regular financial contributions by the members of the association make it possible to publish PROKLA and provide the basis for continuity and predictability, which are essential to our editorial work.

We are always happy to welcome new members in the “Association for the Critique of Political Economy” ready to support PROKLA with their contributions, suggestions and criticism. We are also very happy about regular or one-time donations. Donations can be deducted from taxes in Germany as the association is recognised as a charitable organisation. We are happy to provide more information via email (redaktion@prokla.de). In the case of one-time donations, please also provide you address so that we can send you a donation receipt.
