Settler Colonialism in Palestine

This article draws on three aspects to show why the concept of settler colonialism adds to our understanding of the conflict in historical Palestine. First, the settler-colonial mission of Zionism is inscribed into the constitution of the state of Israel. Secondly, Israeli settlements and occupation of the West Bank and Gaza have been an integral part of materializing a vision of Greater Israel which undermines the Palestinian right to self-determination for almost 60 years. And thirdly, the recent Israeli military operation »Iron Swords« points to the systematic extinction of Palestinian existence in Gaza.
