Against some current criticism I show that Piketty does not »turn Marx on his head«, at least not necessarily. Piketty's critique of the ideology of property, his focus on the institutional embedding of the economy, and some approaches to a theory of imperialism offer insights that are also relevant to a critical approach in economics.Downloads
