In diesem Artikel wird die kontrovers diskutierte These vom Staat Israel und der zionistischen Bewegung als Phänomenen des »Siedlerkolonialismus« erörtert. Dabei lassen sich drei Paradigmen des Begriffs unterscheiden: erstens die historische zionistische Bewegung als Form des Siedlerkolonialismus, zweitens das zeitgenössische Israel als siedlerkolonialer Staat und drittens die Betrachtung von individuellen Israelis als »SiedlerInnen«.
