Abstract

Der Artikel widmet sich der aktuellen Europäischen Drohnenpolitik. Über eine Analyse und Diskussion zentraler Strategiepapiere wird argumentiert, dass die politischen und ökonomischen Interessen im aktuellen Aufbau des zivilen EU-Binnenmarktes für Drohnen einerseits und die europäischen Ambitionen in der Sicherheits- und Verteidigungspolitik andererseits, eng miteinander verbunden sind. Der Beitrag unternimmt den Versuch, beide Entwicklungen analytisch zu trennen und kritisiert die Rationalität der EU, den zivilen Drohnensektor für den hegemonialen Wettkampf in diesem disruptiven Technologiesegment auszunutzen.
