Der Erste Weltkrieg verursachte harsche Reaktionen der US-amerikanischen Regierung gegen KritikerInnen des Kriegseinsatzes. Ein bekannter Fall für eine solche Reaktion ist der Gerichtsprozess und die Deportation der bekannten US-AnarchistInnen Emma Goldman und Alexander Berkman nach Sowjetrussland im Dezember 1919. Die beiden Radikalen hatten nicht nur die politische Ökonomie des Krieges und die Ausbeutung der US-amerikanischen ArbeiterInnenklasse identifiziert, sondern auch gegen diese agitiert. Ihre Kritik und die Konsequenzen sind die Hauptaspekte, mit denen sich der vorliegende Beitrag auseinandersetzt.
