Die soziale Reproduktion im Süden
Ein Blick über Lohnarbeit hinaus und auf Konflikte um öffentliche Güter und Ressourcen im Globalen Süden

Der Beitrag verbindet aktuelle Diskussionen um soziale Reproduktion mit einer Diskussion zu den »Überflüssigen«. Theorien der sozialen Reproduktion gehen tendenziell davon aus, dass kapitalistische Produktion und soziale Reproduktion über Lohnarbeit funktional vermittelt sind. Dagegen konstatieren Publikationen über die surplus society, dass große Teile der Weltbevölkerung nach wie vor kaum mittels kapitalistischer Lohnarbeit in den globalen Kapitalismus integriert sind. Diese Diagnose belege ich datenbasiert und vertrete die These, dass wir für ein Verständnis der Konflikte um soziale Reproduktion im Globalen Süden die Rolle des bedarfsökonomischen Sektors, öffentlicher Güter und sozialer Infrastrukturen in den Blick nehmen müssen.
